Education & Skills Program

Creating access,
opportunity and protection

School support Skills training Mining awareness

With the education program, we are coming up with a project on supporting children with school items. Although the government has established free education for children, still parents have the burden of school items, which is slowing the free education process. We are coming in to bridge that gap. We will be supplying children with school items to enable them to attend classes, give peace to vulnerable parents, and contribute to the great work that the government is doing.

At the same time, we will also be supporting youth and adults with professional skills training to enable them to be useful to society and the community, as they will be contributing to community and society development and protection against criminality.

We shall also be organizing training for local miners surrounding the big exploitation and production of minerals by big companies to empower them on how to protect themselves and their communities, as well as to prevent big mining companies from abusing them and to support their local development.

Our Story

Born from Necessity, Sustained by Purpose

FONDATION LA FACE was established in 2010 by a group of passionate community leaders who witnessed first-hand the compounding effects of poverty, poor health infrastructure, and lack of educational access in rural communities.

The name "LA FACE" — meaning "The Face" in French — embodies our belief that every individual deserves to be seen, heard, and empowered. We put a human face on development work, reminding ourselves and our partners that statistics represent real people with real dreams.

Over 14 years, we have grown from a local initiative into a multi-sectoral foundation with national reach, informing policy, partnering with DRC institutions, and building community-led institutions that outlast any single project.
